b. Wear dustproof mask when using Dā-mite® especially in enclosed areas such as indoors, or in confined spaces such as a tunnel, trench, shaft, or mine.
Dā-mite® generates heat after it is mixed with water
Unexpected overheating can cause the product to blow out of holes when hot steam escapes after filling drilled holes. Dā-mite® can overheat if:
- Wrong type is used at wrong temperature
- Hole size is beyond diameter shown in literature or
- Mixing water is too warm.
Once blowout shot occurs, it will occur 3 - 4 times out of the same hole and it may occur in other holes. Stay away from the filled holes area when blowout shots happen.
To avoid blow-outs
a.Use the right color grade of Dā-mite® for the temperature range and hole diameter (refer to the temperature chart on sales literature)
b.Do no store Dā-mite® in direct sunlight or near a source of heat
c.Cool Dā-mite® before use
d.Cool every tool to be use before mixing
e.Use a clean plastic or metal bucket/pail. Try to keep the bucket/pail clean during use to keep spent residue from building up. Clean out after use. Do not mix in a small or narrow-mouth plastic can or bowl
